Mock Sad Country Song

What is more scary than me anywhere near music? And not just music, but COUNTRY music??

As some(?) people know, I am hilarious, and last Thursday I sat down and wrote the lyrics for a Mock Sad Country Song “Fishy Don’t Snuggle No More” under my country name, Rejection the Cowpoke (my country name is a funny story I tell in person).

E and I married 25+ years ago--when she and I started dating almost 30 years ago, we called each “Snugglefish” and “Fishy.” She left on my birthday (nice touch) and planned to share the birthday cake I had designed and requested with her friends (but I foiled that scheme, ha ha). After a divorce that went way, way downhill, I am heading up again with my usual sense of humor and this Mock Sad Country Song!

I dabbled in stand-up comedy a few years ago and hope to use my divorce as material to wow the crowds when I step back into it. I am picturing a 20 minute set of great comedy, ending with me in a black cowpoke hat leading the audience in a group sing-along of "Fishy Don't Snuggle No More"! And if THAT isn't a scary thought, I don't know how to wish you a better Halloween!
